The hem is trimmed, serged and sewn in one operation.
Before starting sewing in hem section -3-, cut in by 2cm.
Ply shifting in the hem is thus avoided.
Place the prepared hem under the sewing foot so that part -3- of the folded hem is under guided -2-. Folded edge -4- must run along edge guide -2-.

The penetration of the needle in the fabric must be adjusted.

Loosen regulating screw -1- and adjust edge guide -2- so that when the needle penetrates the fabric only one thread is caught.
