This special sewing foot allows elastic tape attaching in one operation; at the same time the material is gathered and the excess fabric cut off.

Preparation of machine

Sewing foot: engage tape attaching foot
Seam width: approx. 4 to 4.5mm
Stitch length: approx. 4mm
Thread tension: "N" (4x)

Elastia tape insertion:

Lossen screw -2- and tilt brake -1- upwards. Insert elastic tape and place it to the rear under the foot. Tighten brake -1- again with screw -2-. The more screw -2- is turned in, the more the gathering effect is incread.

With the sewing foot in "up" postition, a slight resistance must be felt when pulling the elastic tape through. Test sew first.
